Royalty Advances for Artists, Songwriters and Producers.
Turn tomorrow’s royalties into capital today. SongCash arranges advances against the royalty income you choose to include, whether it comes from your distributor, your PRO, publishing, SoundExchange or YouTube. Signed to a label or publisher? We work with those deals too. You keep every right you own. Repayment comes from those royalties alone, and once the agreed amount is collected, the income is yours again.
Founded for creators, by creators. SongCash was founded by a multi-platinum producer and a team of accomplished musicians.
Estimates are illustrative only and do not constitute an offer, a commitment to fund, or a guarantee of any amount or terms. Any advance is subject to review of verified royalty statements, underwriting, and a signed agreement, and may be funded by SongCash or a third-party funding partner. Nothing on this page is financial, legal, or tax advice.

Frequently Asked Questions
Plain answers on how a royalty advance works, what qualifies, and what it costs.
Do I give up any rights to my music?
No. An advance is not a sale. You keep your masters, your publishing, your splits and your future releases. You assign a defined share of your royalty income for an agreed term, and once the agreed amount has been collected, that income is redirected back to you.
How much of a royalty advance can I get?
Catalogs earning $5,000 or more per year may qualify. The amount depends on the last 12 months of income you choose to include, whether that income is growing or declining, and the term you pick. A shorter term on a declining catalog supports less; a longer term on a growing catalog supports more. The estimator above gives you a range, and your statements give us the real number.
What royalties qualify?
Distributor income, PRO income, publishing income including mechanicals, SoundExchange, YouTube, and royalties paid under label or publishing deals. If it shows up on a statement and can be redirected for the term, it qualifies. You decide which sources to include.
What if my royalties go down?
Repayment comes only from the royalties you assigned. On advances SongCash funds directly there is no personal guarantee, so if income comes in slower than expected the term simply runs longer. Terms from partner funders vary, and we walk you through them before you sign anything.
Will I still get paid while the advance is being repaid?
Potentially, yes. Each period has a set collection amount. The royalties you assigned go toward that amount first, and anything above it is paid out to you as usual. The collection amount is written into your offer, so you know exactly how it works before you sign.
How long does it take?
Gathering statements is usually the slowest part, and we can help with that. Once we have complete statements, you may get an initial offer within a few business days. Funding typically follows within a few weeks, most of which is setting up the income redirection with your distributor or PRO.
What does a royalty advance cost?
There are no upfront fees. The cost is the difference between the amount you receive and the amount collected over the term, and it is set by the term and the trend of your catalog. You see it as a plain dollar figure before you decide.
Can I get an advance if I am signed to a label or publisher?
Often, yes. It depends on how your deal is structured and what your contract allows, so send us the statements and we will tell you quickly whether it works.
One thing to know up front: if you still owe a balance to a label, publisher, distributor or another funder, that balance usually has to be cleared before the royalties can be redirected. In that case it is paid off out of the advance at closing and you receive the remainder. We do our best to uncover any balances like this during review, and we ask that you tell us about every relevant existing deal, advance or open balance before signing, so the breakdown we show you is the one you actually get.
